You can now stream Facebook videos on your TV

Facebook has always been focused on videos as over 100 million hours of videos are consumed daily on the platform. Now, the social network has rolled out the ability to stream videos from Facebook to your TV.

Users can now stream video from Facebook through devices like Apple TV or Google Chromecast.

To watch a video from Facebook on your TV:

Find a video you want to watch on your phone or desktop and press the TV symbol in the top right corner.
Select the device you want the video to stream to.
Enjoy the video right from your TV.
Users can go back and scroll through News Feed on their device during streaming even while watching a Facebook video on TV. They can also find more videos by choosing a new one from places like News Feed or your Saved tab. If you are streaming a Facebook Live video to your TV, you can see real-time reactions and comments on the screen and can join the conversation by reacting or commenting.

Now, Facebook will allow users to stream videos on TV directly from smartphones

Facebook has allowed users to watch news feed videos on their televisions with a new feature that lets them stream video clips.

Users with iOS devices can stream their videos via Apple TV, AirPlay devices, Google Chromecast and Google Cast devices, Tech Crunch reported on Tuesday.

The move can help Facebook generate more video ad revenue.

To use the new feature, find a video on your phone or desktop, tap the TV button in the top right and then select the device you want to stream through.

"You can keep scrolling through the feed and using Facebook while the video continues to stream," the report added.

The feature is currently available on iOS and will come to Android devices soon.

YouTube and Twitter-owned Periscope already allow users to stream their videos onto televisions.
