Xiaomi has sold 110 million Redmi smartphones globally since the smartphone was launched in August 2013. Xiaomi VP, Hugo Barra made the announcement in a tweet.

Xiaomi VP had earlier announced the company had sold 6 lakh units of Redmi Note 3 within 60 days of sale in India, the biggest record for the company.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 was launched on March 3 in India. The budget smartphone by the company starts at Rs 9,999. Redmi Note 3 is available in two versions: 2GB+ 16GB at Rs 9,999 and 3GB+32GB for Rs 11,999.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 is the first smartphone in the series to feature all new metal unibody design and has a large 4000 mAh battery. In our review,we called Redmi Note 3 as the stellar comeback device for Xiaomi.
We had noted the smartphone is among the best budget devices. Battery, which can be a pain point at this price is not a problem, the display and sound work fine, the phone has virtually no lag.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 runs MIUI 7 based on Android 5.1 Lollipop and will receive Marshmallow update soon. The Redmi Note 3 has a 5.5-inch full HD display, runs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor, and sports a 13 mp rear camera with a 5 mp front camera.
