Xiaomi launched its new budget smartphones — Redmi 3s and Redmi 3s Prime in India last week. Of the two, the Redmi 3s Prime is all set to go on sale for the first time today. The sale will be kicking off at 12:00PM IST on both mi.com as well as Flipkart, and buyers will be able to choose from gold, silver and dark grey variants.
Xiaomi usually opts for the flash sale model after the launch of any new product, but the company has said that the Redmi 3s Prime will be available via open sale from day one. In other words, there is no need to register, and one can simply head over to mi.com or Flipkart to buy the Redmi 3s Prim smartphone.
Xiaomi Redmi 3s Prime India price
The Redmi 3s Prime is priced at Rs 8,999 and is listed both on mi.com and Flipkart . The e-commerce site is also offering EMIs starting from Rs 437 per month. Flipkart is also offering an exchange bonus of up to Rs 7,000, which could potentially bring the smartphone’s price down to Rs 1,999. The Redmi 3, on the other hand, is priced at Rs 6,999 and is slated to go on sale on August 16 at 12:00PM.
Xiaomi Redmi 3s Prime specifications
The Xiaomi Redmi 3s Prime flaunts a 5-inch HD (720p) display and is powered by a Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 430 octa-core SoC paired with 3GB of RAM. Also on offer is 32GB internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB.
On the camera front, the smartphone sports a 13-megapixel rear snapper and a 5-megapixel selfie snapper. There is also 4,100mAh battery, fingerprint scanner at the back like the Redmi Note 3, and connectivity options such as dual-SIM card slots (hybrid setup), 4G LTE support, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS. On the software front, the Redmi 3s Prime runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0 based MIUI 7.
Priced at Rs 8,999, the Xiaomi Redmi 3s Prime will face competition from the likes of the
Coolpad Note 3 Plus , and the Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus to name a few.
