The Board of Control for Cricket in India on Monday (August 22) increased the daily allowance of the women's and Under-19 teams to match that of the senior men's team.

In a series of decisions at the Working Committee meeting in New Delhi, the BCCI fixed the daily allowance to $US 125 per day on international tours and $US 100 in home series.

The board also approved the budget for the financial year 2016-17 and the proposed expenditure for ground preparation, equipment and indoor academies for Meghalaya and Nagaland.

In a crucial decision which was interestingly not mentioned in the release, the board decided to have its Annual General Meeting on September 21 in the Mumbai.

"The BCCI will have its AGM in Mumbai on September 21. It will be held as per the existing constitution," Anurag Thakur, the BCCI president, told reporters after the meeting.

There were suggestions that the board would defer the AGM following its reservations in implementing the Lodha Committee's sweeping recommendations.

The Supreme Court-appointed Lodha committee had directed the BCCI to implement all its recommendations by October 15 but Ajay Shirke, the BCCI secretary, informed the house that the board has filed a review petition in the court.

The board also said that it will announce the domestic schedule shortly.
