Australian Women cricketers, Hayley
Jensen, Corinne Hall and Joel Logan
have been charged by Cricket Australia
(CA) for breaching the anti-corruption
code of conduct by gambling on
matches and subsequently, sanctions
were laid on the trio on Wednesday
(July 6).
Hall and Jensen were on domestic and
Women's Big Bash League (WBBL)
contracts, while Logan was a Futures
League Player. The trio breached
Article 2.2.1 of the Code, which in turn
is related to accepting, placing, laying
or starting any bet with regard to the
outcome, progress, conduct or any
other facet of the match.
The board noted that Jensen accepted
the charge of placing a bet on the Test
match played between Australia and
New Zealand in Brisbane in 2015, while
Hall acknowledged to partaking in two
bets on Australia's domestic limited-
overs tournament. Logan admitted to
placing a couple of bets on the T20 WC
