It's December - end of year and we can see a lot of polls to pick the best of the year in all fields. But here is a different poll, we are here to pick the best technology innovation of the year 2012...
We have seen many new technology in various fields this year, and i have picked a few which i felt as the best innovation/invention.... Its not a gadget/mobile we are looking at but only the technology involved... Now its upto you to decide which is the one technology that you feel as the best and as the one which could change our lives in future...

ASUS Padfone: It's a phone, it's a tablet, it's ASUS Padfone! It combined a Smartphone and a tablet, what more dock a keyboard and it turns to a laptop. Possibly the maddest gadget concept we've seen in a while.
Raspberry Pi: The Raspberry Pi is a credit-card sized single-board computer developed in the UK by the Raspberry Pi Foundation that plugs into your TV and a keyboard. It’s a capable little PC which can be used for many of the things that your desktop PC does, like spreadsheets, word-processing and games.
Nokia PureView: Nokia PureView imaging technology turned the world of photography upside down. Nokia's PureView technology, a pixel oversampling technique reduces an image taken at full resolution into a lower resolution picture, thus achieving higher definition and light sensitivity, and enables lossless zoom. Nokia 808 PureView takes every bit of image goodness captured by a 41MP sensor and Carl Zeiss lens and turns it into beautifully detailed 5MP images and Full HD videos.
Samsung Galaxy Beam: The ultra slim projector smartphone. The smartphone's built-in projector gives you the freedom to share - to really share - all kinds of contents with your friends virtually anywhere.

Android Camera (Nikon Coolpix S800c/Samsung Galaxy Camera): Its android everywhere.... why leave the digital cameras, they are no more just cameras but connected and smart cameras with android, 3G, built in sim slot and more.

Windows 8: Windows 8 introduced significant changes to the operating system's platform, primarily focused towards improving its user experience on mobile devices such as tablets to rival other mobile operating systems like Android and iOS taking advantage of new or emerging technologies like USB 3.0, UEFI firmware, near field communications, cloud computing and the low-power ARM architecture, new security features such as malware filtering, built-in antivirus capabilities.

Speech Recognition/Voice Assistant Gone are the days we used mobiles to talk with other people... but today we are used to talking to our own mobiles thanks to Siri, S Voice, Google Now and more....
