WhatsApp for Web gets document sharing ability, soon after the feature was made available for mobile phones . The document sharing feature will be seen under the attachments icon, along with sharing photos, videos and so on. We could easily share a document, now making WhatsApp for Web even more productive.
However, to share documents, both user and recipient should have an updated app. The feature will only offer only a limited number of formats such as Word documents, PDF files and others. With this, WhatsApp is ramping up its desktop ability, clearly indicating that only-mobile isn’t its focus.
It was just recently announced that the WhatsApp standalone desktop app were released for Windows and Mac. The WhatsApp desktop client will offer all the same features and shortcuts, which we have already seen on WhatsApp for Web. However, the difference is the fact that the new app will not depend on the mobile version of the communication platform.
It is available for systems running Windows 8+ and Mac OS 10.9+ and gets synced with WhatsApp on one’s smartphone. It is because that the app runs natively on the desktop, users will get support for native desktop notifications, better keyboard shortcuts, and more.
WhatsApp for Web will now allow users to share documents Tech2 Mobile
