On a high after being listed as the second most downloaded app on the Apple store in India, social communication application WeChat on Thursday released a version 5.1 with an added gaming layer.

The new WeChat Games on Version 5.1 will have four games -- ‘GunZ Dash’, ‘2Day’s Match’, ‘Craz3 Match’ & ‘Pencil Pilot’ -- which can be downloaded from the app stores. Users can play the games with friends and share their scores and achievements with them.

In another announcement, the company said it was also partnering with Getit Infomedia's premium local search engine AskMe for an official account that will enable users to access online information on SMEs across local search, deals and classifieds through the application. AskMe will also provide information on the trending restaurants, deals of the day and regular classifieds.
