The company announced the pre-booking offer Saturday, saying it has "entered the final stages in bringing launching its 4G network in Kolkata" on the 1800 MHz band.
Vodafone customers in Kolkata keen to avail of the free 1 GB data offer can pre-book their 4G SIMs before 24th Jan 16 by sending a text message, Voda4G to 199.
However, customers require 4G-enabled handsets and active 3G Packs/Plans as on January 24. Through this offer prepaid customers can enjoy free 1GB, 4G data for 10 days whereas postpaid customers will get the same for 30 days.
