Vodafone India on Monday rolled out its 4G service 4 districts of West Bengal – Alipurduar, Purulia, Jalpaiguri and Coochbehar in last 15 day and will be making available its 4G services across Bengal circle in coming months, the company said in a statement.
Vodafone is offering free upgrade to 4G for customers along with free 4G SIM. The telco will allow 4G international roaming across 25 countries including UK, US, UAE, Singapore and Canada and will be adding more countries.
With the launch, the company has introduced a host of offers for its customers where it’s offering double data for selective data packs. Customers buying a new 4G handset will get 10GB of 4G data at Rs 251. Also, the telco is offering double data of 20 GB at Rs 955.
Vodafone SuperNet 4G service in Bengal is built on 1800 MHz band having a strong fibre backhaul, the company said.
“West Bengal is a strong leadership market for Vodafone India and as the leading telecom service provider, our over 18 million customers have a lot to look forward to. We are proud to have achieved a great feat of launching our SuperNet 4G services in 4 major cities in a short span of 10 days. With this we have covered all the major towns in the circle,” said Arvinder Singh Sachdev Business Head–West Bengal Circle, Vodafone India.
“Beginning with key business and residential corridors of Siliguri, currently we have our Vodafone SuperNetTM 4G services in 17 towns in the circle and will keep on expanding the services across the entire circle in a phased manner. We invite our data savvy customers in West Bengal to make the most of the bonanza of special benefits being offered and enjoy the best mobile internet experience,” he added.
Additionally, the company has revealed its future plans stating that in the second phase of launch, Vodafone SuperNet 4G services will be available in 1000 towns across the country by end of the year.
The telco stated that the nine circles of Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Karnataka, Kerala, Haryana, Gujarat, UP (E) and West Bengal, contribute to under 70% of its data revenues
