Vodafone India on Tuesday has launched “My News”, a new Value Added Service, specially for customers in Delhi-NCR region. The service lets subscribers read the daily newspaper on their handsets.
The Vodafone My News subscription service is available at Rs 5 per day or a weekly subscription of Rs 35. Depending on their individual needs and interests, pre paid and post paid customers can choose one newspaper from a choice of 30 regional or national newspapers. The subscription service can be activated by sending an SMS MYNEWS on 111.
My News is an auto renewal service and can be deactivated by sending an SMS CAN MYNEWS to 111. It gives subscribers the freedom to read the newspaper as and when they want.
Commenting on the new VAS, Subrat Padhi, Business Head Delhi, Vodafone India said, “As the world around us gets increasingly mobile, people are choosing to source most of their information and conduct multiple transactions through it. Delhiites in particular have an affinity to read newspapers and stay informed on latest developments taking place around the world. Vodafone ‘My News’ is a service that provides our customers with the flexibility to access their daily News, in an eco friendly avatar”.
