Former Indian opener Virender
Sehwag, on Monday, said that he was
considering retiring from international
cricket in order to participate in the
Masters Champions Legaue (MCL), a
Twenty20 tournament tournament
scheduled to be played in the UAE in
February 2016.Amidst widespread
rumours of him already having retired,
Sehwag clarified that he was mulling
the possibility considering the MCL was
a tournament only for retired
professional cricketers.
Sehwag last represented India in the
Test series against Australia in March
2013 and was subsequently usurped
by Shikhar Dhawan and Murali Vijay
following a string of low scores. In the
wake of former teammate Zaheer
Khan's retirement earlier this week,
speculations were strife about the
possibility of other former players
following suit.
