Team India skipper Virat Kohli's county stint has come to a halt after it is learnt that continuous playing since last year has taken a massive toll on his body, resulting in him suffering from a slipped disc (herniated disc) and fatigue. Non-stop cricket for Kohli might see him pull out from Surrey which he is to start in June.
According to a report by Mumbai Mirrors, Kohli visited the Khar Hospital on Wednesday afternoon, where the orthopaedic surgeon and his team briefed the cricketer about his reports. The doctors told Kohli that there has been some damage to the spinal nerves and was a chance that he could miss some part of the England tour which begins in July, if the injury worsened.
