Twitter is now making it easier for users to get the famous blue budge which represents a verified account. The micro blogging platform has announced that it has created an online application process for Twitter accounts to receive verified status.
Currently, verified accounts on Twitter belong to public figures and organizations in music, TV, film, fashion, government, politics, religion, journalism, media, sports, business, and other key interest areas. Twitter’s Tina Bhatnagar says it is rolling out this initiative with an aim to help more people find great, high-quality accounts to follow, and for creators and influencers across the globe.
In order to apply for a verified account on Twitter, you will have to submit a request by filling out a form with a verified phone number and email address, a profile photo, a header photo, a website, and additional information regarding why verification is required or helpful.
