The folks behind Truecaller, a popular app for identifying and blocking marketers and other spammy phone calls, have launched a new dialer app for Android that makes good use of their existing contacts database. With it, you can look up contact information of the person you're actively calling, even if they aren't in your address book. Spooky? Maybe. Useful? For sure. Once the data has been fetched, you can import that contact to your device painlessly.
Besides that, Truedialer looks like a highly functional and well laid-out phone app. You can swipe between QWERTY and number keyboard, quickly send a text message to folks in the call log, and easily wipe away mistyped phone numbers.
You can get downloading at the Google Play Store. How many of you are using a third-party dialing app on your device? Does the stock dialer app on your phone leave something to be desired?
