Breaking TrueCaller without permission signing up for it's payments service

Many people of Tuesday started complaining that TrueCaller app is automatically Registering it's users to TrueCaller Pay.

TrueCaller has acknowledged the issue and pushed an update to fix this. Truecaller version number 10.41.6 for Android, released on July 24, caused the automatic registrations.

This exactly why i never signup on any app - financial or not - with the same number i use on banks/private purpose. They could only send a sms and fail.

Same here. I use a normal bar phone. Even google auto sends text message to verify numbers.

I am using the sim number linked to bank in a keypad phone (without internet phone) just because of this reason.
