New Delhi, Aug 15: Delhi police on Monday, Aug 15 refused to accept the undertaking given by team Anna over his permission confirmation to resume fast-unto-death protest on Tuesday. With the latest rejection, team Anna's all plan over Aug 16 fast landed in a fresh trouble.

Delhi police claimed that they will not open Jay Prakash Narain Park and will impose section 144 at the region which will restrict people from gathering at the venue. Team Anna was scheduled their fast at the park.

Team Anna agreed on the 16 conditions out of 22 which were suggested by the police, though refused to accept the time period of three days and restriction on number of people gathering at the park.

On Monday, Aug 15 when India celebrated its 64th Independence Day, police locked down Jay Prakash Narain Park over security issue.

Delhi police on Saturday, Aug 13 sent a letter with 22 conditions to team Anna who then had rejected to accept the undertaking. Two of the conditions said that Anna can hold his fast only for three days, i.e. till 6 pm of Aug 18 and maximum 5000 people can gather there at the venue to support Anna and his team.

Calling police's conditions "unconstitutional" and "undemocratic", team Anna had earlier expressed their dissatisfaction over the decision taken by the government.
