Superbook is a laptop-like shell that is capable of turning an Android device into fully capable laptop. The laptop-like shell has been developed by Andromium Inc, and has set up a KickStarter campaign to raise $50,000 (Rs 33 lakhs approx). But the Superbook has already managed to garner $2.1 million (Rs 14 crore approx), through 13,028 backers and the campaign is still active for another five days.
According to the designers of Superbook, “Speed and power of our smartphones rarely hold us back, but small screens and limited interface often do,” and this has been the inspiration for the team to come up with this device.

Superbook is a plug and play device for your android smartphone, that can be connected to via a USB cable (also supports USB Type-C). The device allows the user to use a proper keyboard, a multi-touch trackpad and a much larger display while using the computing power of your smartphone – along with the files and the apps.
The Superbook comes with a 11.6-inch 1366×768 LCD display. The software of the Superbook is Andromium, which is an app that lets an Android device function like a regular OS. A user will have access to millions of apps that are already available on the Google Play Store. Superbook is able to use your phone’s data, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
