The Moto G4 will become available in India from June 22, Lenovo revealed on Twitter.
Like the Moto G4 Plus, which went on sale in India soon after its launch last month, the Moto G4 will be sold exclusively through Amazon India. That’s a break from Motorola’s previous exclusive partnership with Flipkart.

Lenovo did not reveal how much the Moto G4 will cost. For reference, the Moto G4 Plus, which features a better camera and a fingerprint sensor, costs Rs. 13,499 on Amazon for the 2GB RAM version. There’s a good chance the Moto G4 will cost a couple of thousand rupees less.
India is a key market for Lenovo, thanks in large part to the solid sales of Moto branded devices. Aymar de Lencquesaing, the head of Lenovo’s global mobile business, recently revealed that revenue from India surpassed 67.35 billion rupees ($1 billion) last quarter. Lenovo plans to gain more market share by expanding its offline presence in India, where it manufactures over six million devices every year.
On a side note, fans of the Moto Z have some waiting to do: the high-end modular device will only go on sale in India from September-October.
