Telenor launches 4G in Kanpur 1GB data @ Rs. 52

NEW DELHI: Telenor India has launched high-speed 4G affordable services for its customers in Kanpur, the third city in the UP East region to go live with 4G services.

Prior to Kanpur, the company launched its 4G services in Varanasi and Lucknow.

“We are really excited to offer high speed affordable 4G services to our Kanpur city customers. With 100 percent sites being ready in the city with advanced equipment and efficient spectral deployment, the company is geared up to offer superior speed and better experience at affordable price,” K.C. Narendran, Circle Business Head – UP East, Telenor India said. “Our Super Saver 4G plans are very cost effective and provide best deal to customers in this market.”

Telenor is offering 1GB 4G data for the first month and 500 MB data for next 2 months on first recharge (FRC) of Rs 152 for new customers.
Customers will also get free Talk-Time of Rs 30 with this FR bundled with affordable tariff of 25per minute for all local and STD Calls for 90 days.

Additionally existing customers can upgrade their current 2G SIM to 4G SIM free of cost and get 1 GB free data.

Customers can avail this offer by walking into any of the fully functional Telenor branded stores and selected retail outlets in Kanpur. Also Telenor customers can get 1GB data at just Rs. 52 for 28 days without any conditions.

The launch in Kanpur follows the successful launch of Telenor’s 4G services across its 6 circles in Muzaffarpur, Gaya, Hajipur, Varanasi, Vizag, Amravati, Agra, Anand, Lucknow, Ranchi, Vijayawada, Tenali, Eluru, Bhimavaram, Dhanbad, Hazaribag, Dehradun, Guntur, Rajahmundry, Warangal, Kadapa, and Meerut.

Telenor announced the modernization of its entire network in the UP East in 2015. As of now 74% of its sites have been modernized.

Why telenor launching 4G everywhere? I thing telenor is closing its business in India as I know telenor has not taken part in recent auction
