Telenor India said that it will launch a multilingual version of its self-care, which has already garnered over 1 million plus registrations. The new version will cater to regional customers in India.

The app allows Telenor customers to do quick recharges without any registrations, enquire about their balance, view last five transactions, and manage multiple Telenor accounts. It also provides customised and personalised offers and plans.

The app also offers an option to opt-in for Telenor Suraksha, the telco said.

The app is free and can be downloaded from Android and Windows app stores. There is no data charge on the activities done through the app.

Telenor customers can update and edit their details without visiting a retail shop, and “refer the app” to their family and friends.

“With this launch, Telenor India stays committed to its promise of simplifying & enriching lives of its digital savvy customers and making their experience ‘full paisa vasool’. The all new Telenor app has been designed to empower our customers to manage all their Telenor services effortlessly and digitally. The app offers ease of use and convenience to our customers by rendering unparalleled digital experience,” Upanga Dutta, Chief Marketing Office, Telenor (India) communications said in a statement.

Telenor India has also launched its redesigned mobile site for an improved online experience for all its customers on their handsets.

Bharti Airtel, India’s leading carrier, had also relaunched its MyAirtel app with new ‘Airtel Apps’ section that will have a collection of top apps under a single interface, in addition to the existing selfcare features. The newly updated app will now provide access to apps such as Ditto TV, Hike Messenger app, Wynk Music, Wynk Movies, Airtel Money and Juggernaut.
Notably, Reliance Jio already has its own ecosystem of applications that offer digital content.
