On February 8, the Union Cabinet approved the auction of 10,523.15 megahertz (MHz) of spectrum across bands at a reserve price of Rs 96,317.65 crore. All unsold spectrums from the last sale will be up for bidding again. Airwaves in the 800, 900, 1800, 2100, 2300, 2500, 3300 MHz and 26 GHz bands, covering a large chunk of voice and data spectrum, are up for sale.

While the live e-auction of airwaves across major spectrum bands will be held 73 days from now, a long timeline of steps leading up to it has been released by the DoT. This includes the pre-qualification of bidders on May 6, the inauguration of the final list of bidders on May 9, and a mock auction on May 13 and 14, the DoT notice said.

Spectrum auctions for eight bands to start on 20 May 2024, says DoT

Its MHz not GHz and 600 MHz is not being auctioned since the ecosystem for that band is not mature yet and there is no demand for it from the operators.
As for 700 MHz band (Total bandwidth 45 MHz) DoT has access to only 20 MHz out of which 10 MHz is with Jio and 10 MHz is reserved for BSNL. Of the remaining 25 MHz, 10 MHz is reserved for Indian railways, 5 MHz for RRTS and Metro rail, and 10 MHz for Defence use. So practically 700 MHz band is full as of now.

only date important is 26 April when first list of applicant will be publish
and 22-24 may when auction will be supposed to conclude

When will the 2G non liberalised spectrum end?. What is the longest validity as for now and which operator and circle has it?.
When will the 2G network gets shutdown in India?.

What jio says is correct. 2G network must be shutdown in India.

DNA expects Gautam Adani will participate again in the upcoming auction to pick up more 5G spectrum for his data centre and cloud computing business.
5gis future
Adani doent have sufficient spectrum in most circle
and jio can pour money as it doesnt have any 2g/3g network and 5g network give much require capacity in higher bands

Spectrum auction postponed to 6th June instead of 20th May to avoid overlapping with Lok Sabah elections.

this directly hint that June 2024 will be month for tariff hike and all including bsnl will revise tariff upward.

secondly airtel will more focused on selling postpaid or conversion from pre- to post as VALUE for money product by doing extensive marketing especially circle like guj,mh,, kerala, up to grab share from vi.
