Sad state of affairs for Tataplay fiber customers, recently prices for Tataplay fiber hiked for smaller duration plans starting from 100Mbps plans and in a way ISP forcing users to both opt for 1 year plans to experience old prices and OTT alongside. Plans updated in both Website and App for Pan India users as shown in this image.

And here I thought that the big ISPs will consider lowering their plan prices since they are priced so higher than local ISPs. Hope Jio does not see it as a sign to increase prices now. -_-
Truth is all "A" rated ISP shake hands under the table and saddest part here is that they removed the Non ott plan which many relied upon and now forcing their own junky OTT bouquet.

50 to 100 rupees increment starting from 100Mbps, moreover made 1 Gbps untouchable for middle class. KOL plans are changed as well in the website and app. JPR = Jaipur will be hit next with this hike. I have posted the reflected plans by making a new thread.
Time to support small local players I believe. ACT is fine at 999 for 500Mbps and 1499-1999 for 1Gbps. It's pretty cheap for 1Gbps. All Delhi uses Excitel mostly and 600INR for 400Mbps is pretty cheap. ACT is pretty good in Hyderbad. Should launch 1999 in Bangalore as well and people will easily jump on bandwagon.

We should be touching 5Gbps on 2030.

I don't get the intention behind hikes lately. These ISPs has been hoarding so much but where is their actual investment going to god knows, while rest of the world already adopted XGS-PON , Indians will get in far future, but price hikes for sure. I will leave Tata now for sure.

I left it in 2021 for local ISPs for good.

Sadly, good local ISPs are not available everywhere. Here, we have two local ISPs, both goes down together with Airtel randomly. And both cannot provide even 150 Mbps consistently. :(

Prices are also really similar to Airtel, except their cheapest plan, which they use to attract customers.

Pretty much stuck with Jio here. Still, considering my past experience with RailWire, I am quite grateful for Jio's existence. 😂
