Swipe has launched its Ultimate Tab 3G laptop-tablet hybrid in India, priced at Rs. 19,999. The 3G variant of the previous launched Swipe Ultimate, it will be available online via leading e-commerce websites starting January 21.
The laptop-tablet hybrid Swipe Ultimate Tab 3G features almost identical specifications as seen in its predecessor, which was launched in November last year. The main addition is the inbuilt 3G connectivity support via a SIM card and a direct USB 3.0 port. The earlier variant only 3G connectivity via a USB dongle.
The Windows 8.1-powered Swipe Ultimate Tab 3G comes with a 10.1-inch XWVGA (1280x800 pixels) multi-touch IPS display with Zero Air Gap technology and a detachable magnetic keyboard. It is powered by a 64-bit Intel Atom Z3735F (4 core, 4 threads, 1.33GHz base clock, up to 1.83GHz burst, 2MB cache) processor coupled with 2GB of RAM.
The Swipe Ultimate comes with 32GB of internal storage with no word on expandable storage support. However, as seen in the Swipe Ultimate, the new variant is likely to support up to 1TB HDDs via Micro-USB.
The tablet sports a 5-megapixel camera and a 2-megapixel front camera. Connectivity options on the Swipe Ultimate 3G include Wi-Fi, 3G (via SIM card), Bluetooth 4.0, Micro HDMI port, Micro-USB, and USB 3.0. The device packs an 7000mAh battery and measures 256.4x171x9.5mm. The company has not provided weight details, but it should weigh roughly around the Wi-Fi only variant's 580 grams.
