Swipe has added a new smartphone to its Elite-series called, Elite VR. The device is priced at Rs 4,499, and will be available exclusively via ShopClues starting today. The smartphone will be available in black, white, gold and red color options.
The Elite VR smartphone is bundled with a virtual reality headset. Swipe is positioning the new smartphone as the “most affordable 5.5-inch virtual reality device”. The smartphone comes with a polycarbonate body with the camera module and LED flash at the back. Up front, the phone comes with capacitive touch buttons, along with the volume button and the power button placed on the right-hand side.

Swipe Elite VR features a 5.5-inch HD IPS display. The smartphone is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek 6737 processor coupled with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage.
It features a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera. The smartphone supports 4G VoLTE and also supports dual-SIM. The smartphone is armed with a 3,000mAh battery. On the software front, the smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
Apart from this, Swipe has also launched the Konnect Star 2017, which is targeted at first-time smartphone users. The smartphone is priced at Rs 3,333.
In terms of specifications, the smartphone features a 4-inch display. It is powered by a 1GHz quad-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage. On the camera front, the smartphone comes with a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 1.3-megapixel front camera. Connectivity options include dual-SIM, 4G and VoLTE. The device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Indus OS running on top. The UI support 12 regional languages.
In terms of competition, the smartphone will face a tough fight from the likes of Reliance Digital LYF Flame 5. The smartphone features a 4-inch WVGA display with Asahi Glass protection. Under its hood is a quad-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz, and paired with 512MB of RAM.The smartphone comes with onboard storage of 4GB that is further expandable up to 32GB. For photography, the Reliance Digital LYF Flame 5 sports a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel selfie camera. The smartphone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop and is powered by a 1,650mAh battery.
