If you look at the facilities and infrastructure available for youngsters, you have a lot of unorganised cricket and academies in any place in the country. We thought, as a professional franchise, and with the advent of the IPL, we should give something back to the masses, especially the young cricket loving public of Chennai. Not only Chennai but throughout the country in the long run. With that in mind, we thought we’ll have uniform coaching facility with the best infrastructure available. It will be a right blend of natural talent with the scientific approaches you have for coaching. In order to achieve that, CSK with its availability of cricket coaches in their midst, thought it would be best to have a cricket academy floated not only in the city but also in the districts. Our aim will be to start an academy in Chennai, followed by some academies in the districts and in the long run, spread it not only in India but across the world as well.
