Shoulder injury casts doubt over Dhammika Prasad's participation in Leeds Test

  • Following an inconclusive first scan,
    Dhammika Prasad, the Sri Lankan
pacer, will now seek a second opinion
on the treatment of his shoulder that
was injured during the tour match
    against Essex at Clelmsford, thereby
ruling him out of the Sri Lanka's
    second warm-up game against
    Leicestershire starting Friday (May 13).
"Dhammika Prasad, who went off the
field during the final session of play
last evening (May 9) due to a sore
shoulder, has been attended to by
team medical staff headed by Physio
Steve Mount, and will undergo a
    precautionary scan this afternoon to
ascertain injury if any," Sri Lanka
Cricket (SLC) had said in a media
    release on Tuesday.
The injury puts the 32-year-old's
participation in the series opener at
Headingley in doubt -- Read More --
