Good News Southern Railway launches 1-day, 3-day, 5-day passes for suburban trains

Southern railway has launched passes which are valid for 1, 3 and 5 days and can be used on any suburban trains on any directions. These passes can be used on suburban trains on the following routes (Chennai division) - Chennai to Tiruvallur, Chennai to Chengalpattu, Chennai to Velachery, Chennai to Ponneri. What is classes in local trains? What difference is there in coaches?

All traditional suburban trains will include one or two (one at each end of the train) first class coaches. There isn't much difference except that it would have a cushioned seats in comparison to the wooden seats in regular class. These coaches are distinguished from other coaches by these stripes (see pic) on it's exterior.
