Sony Ericsson has announced two key partnerships
to push the XPERIA Play to the top of mobile
gaming. Havok has ported all their software to
Gingerbread and optimized it for the XPERIA Play,
which is also the official Major League Gaming
handset. If Havok sounds familiar you may be thinking of
their physics engine - but they have other software
too, which runs on all major consoles and
computer platforms in many big-name games. They are very pleased with the performance of the Sony Ericsson XPERIA Play and they're promising "cinematic and immersive gaming experiences".
Their software has been ported to Android 2.3
Gingerbread and has been specifically optimized to
run on the XPERIA Play. The Sony Ericsson XPERIA Play is the official phone
of Major League Gaming, who organize
professional game tournaments and have their
hands in game development too. The Major League Gaming boasts a big community
of 8 million and will be showing off the XPERIA Play
at their Pro Circuit tour, which starts 1 April in Dallas
and will span more cities. At the Pro Circuit, they'll
be hosting demonstrations, game challenges and
giveaways featuring the Sony Ericsson XPERIA Play.
