Sony has announced its newest DSLR camera in India called the A68. The camera packs in the latest goods including an impressive 4D focus feature and is priced at Rs 55,990.

Sony will be selling the A68 in two kits. One that comes with a 18-55mm lens that is priced at Rs 59,990 and a second kit with a 18-135mm lens that is priced at Rs 85,990. Those only interested in the body can purchase the same at a price tag of Rs 55,990.

Indeed the highlight of the camera is the 4D autofocus system. Simply put, it uses 79 AF points to sense area, depth and time to get the best image possible and this works well with all of its A-mount lenses.

The A68 also borrows heavily from its elder sibling, the A77 II. The 79-point AF system, 24MP Exmor sensor comes from the A77.
The camera features an ISO range of 100-25,600 thanks to the Bionz X ISP. Also supported is Full HD video recording with bitrates going up to 50Mbps.

On the back we get a 2.7-inch TFT LCD display sporting a resolution of 460k dots that can also be tilted. Sony has also crammed in an electronic viewfinder with an OLED panel sporting a resolution of 1.4 million dots with 100 percent frame coverage. The camera includes rear and front wheels for adjustments and 11 customisable buttons to activate any of 49 functions for faster, more intuitive operation.
