Qualcomm introduced the Snapdragon 820 SoC with custom Kryo cores last year and the LeEco Le Max Pro that was introduced earlier this year became the first smartphone to be announced the processor. Later the Samsung Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 edge, Sony Xperia X Performance, Xiaomi Mi 5, LG G5 and more smartphones were introduced with the same chip.

Now, according to a weibo user, Qualcomm is working on Snapdragon 823 (MSM8996Pro) SoC that will power the Samsung Galaxy Note6, LG G Flex 3 and upcoming Sony Xperia flagship smartphone. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor has four Kryo cores clocked at maximum speed of 2.15GHz with 624MHz Adreno 530 GPU, but the Snapdragon 823 will be slightly more powerful with a clock speed of up to 3GHz and will also come with a faster 700MHz Adreno 530 GPU, according to the leak.

It also reveals that it will support up to 8GB of LPDDR4 (2166MHz dual-channel) RAM, up to 25-megapixel camera and Spectra 14-bit dual-ISP. Samsung usually unveils its flagship Note series smartphones in August or September, so we can expect Qualcomm to announce the Snapdragon 823 before that. Few months back details about the Snapdragon 830 surfaced, which said that it will use Samsung’s 10nm FinFET process technology and arrive in early 2017.
