New Delhi: Union textiles minister Smriti Irani has been given additional charge of the information and broadcasting ministry on Monday in an announcement made by the Prime Minister’s Office.
The development comes after Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance announced Union minister Venkaiah Naidu’s name as its vice-presidential nominee, who will face Congress-led Opposition parties’ Gopal Krishna Gandhi.
