He doesnt need anything fancy, uses whatsapp, some banking apps and youtube.

I dont want him to face stupid issues with software like seeing ads and stuff even in app drawer and settings pages.

if a something is better maybe i can extend a bit more upto 12k
 
Go with Moto G35 or G45 as per your budget.
Moto phone are usually good for regular usage and no ads in UI unlike other phone. Also support most of 5g bands.
 
I have recommended Moto G45 (8GB) for a lot of senior folks and they are very happy with the device. It might go for 11999 with card offers
