Panic spread on a busy stretch of arterial MG Road in Gurgaon on Wednesday morning after gunmen fired on a SUV driver. The incident has put a question mark on the security situation in the fast developing IT hub.
As per eyewitness accounts, the inside occurred outside Central Mall, near Time Tower at around 9:15 am when gunmen driving a Santro car fired shots at the driver of an SUV.
In his bid to escape bullets, the driver rammed his car into three other vehicles. One autorickshaw was also completely smashed in the accident.
As per unconfirmed reports, the driver of the SUV was injured in the shootout. He is said to be involved in real estate business.
The shooters also escaped from the scene before they could be apprehended. The accident led to a massive traffic jam on the road during the morning rush hour
