Google unveiled Android M at I/O earlier this year, and going by today’s teaser is close to releasing it. Samsung has followed the teaser with an infographic showing off all the new features its smartphones will get once they have updated to the latest operating system.[http://st1]

Samsung details some of the features we have already come across during I/O. For starters, app permission system has been given a complete overhaul. You can now individually choose which app gets access to information such as your images, contacts and location. So, if you don’t want WhatsApp to access your location, you get the flexibility to disable it.

Android M also comes with better memory management, thus allowing you to track which app is hogging more memory. Auto backup is another feature that could benefit a lot of Android users, especially the ones who switch phones quite often. Android M will automatically backup app user data and settings onto Google Drive, up to 25MB per app.

Smartphones don’t have a good reputation when it comes to battery life. With Android M, Google has included a new feature called Doze. This feature gets activated when the device is on standby for a long time. It reduces background processes to cut down on battery consumption to a great extent. Last but not the least; Android M also includes support for quick fingerprint access on supported handsets, thus enhancing user security.
