Bangalore:Samsung is coming up with its latest 'Series 7' sliding tablet and is exclusively being ordered by Amazon off late. In order to design this tablet, Samsung sought ideas from its handset business to imply the hinge technology in its Series 7 tablet.

This tablet has convertible features. When closed, the Series 7 depicts a slate tablet, but the display slides backwards and tilts up to become a netbook with a full-size keyboard.

The 10.1-inch Samsung Series 7 consists of a slide-out QWERTY keyboard and touchpad which would be similar to Dell Inspiron. The hardware includes a 1366x768 resolution screen 2GB RAM, 32 GB/64 GB SDD, 1.5 GHz dual-core Atom Z670 Oak trail CPU, front and rear cameras and will run on Windows 7 Home Premium.

The tablet weighs around 0.45 kg and is 2.03 cm thick. This tablet is also known as Samsung TX100 convertible sliding laptop. The price range of this tablet is known to range from around $699 to $649. The official launch date of Series 7 is not yet known.

The Samsung Series 7 was first spotted at the Consumer Electronics Show held in January, and is considered to be in competition with Dell Inspiron
