Mumbai: Undoubtedly, we will come across many wearable devices as the year unfolds, especially after CES. We recently saw the LG smartwatch and there have been rumours about Samsung Band too. Now, a tweet from Samsung Mobile UK teases that a new smartwatch is in the making.

The tweet shows the Galaxy Gear with its year of release (2013) alongside a question that says - "What do you want Samsung to unveil in 2014?" The Galaxy Gear is mere three months old, so it is highly speculated that the device wouldn't be an improved successor to the Gear. Rumours are rife that t could be a new wearable product altogether.

Though the company hasn't revealed any details about the upcoming smartwatch, rumours circulating the web point towards a fitness-focused Galaxy Band. The all-new Galaxy Band is expected to be loaded with sensors for capturing data on motion, pressure and temperature, things that are essential for fitness trackers. The device will connect with Samsung Galaxy devices (and presumably other phones) via Bluetooth LE.
