Indian consumers have shown a desire for used mobiles therefore recording 10 million used mobiles listings on online marketplace OLX in 2016, where Samsung had the highest share of 25%.
Samsung was followed by Apple with 20% share, Xiaomi with 9%, Lenovo (including Motorola) with 8.5%, and Micromax with 3.5% share in the used mobiles category. Other brands contributed 34% of the total mobile phone listings on OLX in 2016.
“Today the pre-owned mobile market sees a volume of about 20 million units. However, the larger market is still offline today and the shift towards online is gradually happening,” said
