Alleged Samsung N7100 Galaxy Note II official photo surfaces

The official announcement of the Samsung N7100 Galaxy Note II is just a couple of weeks away now, but only now we see what the new phoneblet might actually look like. We just got an alleged photo of the upcoming device, which reveals its front panel.
Now we wouldn't bet the house on this turning out to be an official image as even our tipster wasn't able to confirm its origin. Still, the image aligns nicely with previous rumors that suggested that the Samsung N7100 Galaxy Note II will have a Galaxy S III-inspired design, so even if the image is fan-made, it shouldn't be too far from the truth.
Along with the link to the alleged Samsung Galaxy Note II photo, our tipster also sent us some of the specs of the phoneblet. As expected, the 1280 x 800 pixel Super AMOLED screen will measure 5.5" and will utilize a regular RGB matrix. As for those FullHD screen rumors - according to the tip, it did indeed undergo testing, but it was found to be putting too much strain on the battery to make it to the final device.
The chipset inside was once again tipped to be Exynos 4 Quad, with quad-core CPU clocked at 1.5GHz. while the camera will use the same 8MP sensor as the Galaxy S III.
The Jelly Bean update for the Galaxy Note II is still being developed, so it's likely that the hybrid droid will launch with Android 4.0 ICS. There is an outside chance that Jelly Bean will be ready in time for the announcement, but it's more likely to come out later on.
Finally, some good news for the Galaxy S III users out there. The Jelly Bean update for the flagship smartphone is almost ready and will be released alongside the Galaxy Note II at the Samsung press conference on August 29.

'Samsung Galaxy Note II image leaked'

A leaked image of the front panel of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note II has surfaced online. The image, provided to GSMArena.com by an anonymous tipster, shows that the design theme of the upcoming phablet (phone+tablet) is quite similar to that of the Samsung Galaxy S III.

The look is characterised by curved edges and a standard single hardware button flanked by a haptic key on either side. The Galaxy Note II is expected to be launched within the next few weeks, most likely during the Samsung Unpacked event on August 29, 2012.

In its post, GSMarena itself said that the authenticity of the image could not be verified by the tipster either, which casts some shadows over its credibility. However, rumours say that the design of the second generation Galaxy Note will be heavily inspired by Galaxy S III, thus gaining some credence to the image.

The post said that the tipster also provided data about the specifications of the yet-to-be-launched Note II. In line with speculations, these include a 5.5-inch SuperAMOLED touchscreen with regular RGB matrix. The tipster also informed GSMArena that the device was subjected for Full HD videos, but that put pressure on the battery of the device, and is likely to be shelved.

Another speculation reinforced by the post was the inclusion of a 1.5GHz Exynos 4 quad-core processor and 8MP rear camera. Samsung Galaxy Note is likely to be launched with Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), since the Jelly Bean update for the same is still under development, the post stated.

Galaxy Note II front-panel?

Today a imaged leaked showing another Galaxy Note product, this time it looks like a 5.5-inch phone. This picture allegedly comes straight from one of Samsung’s factories. It’s clear that this image is completely different compared to other leakes.
It looks like a very squarish device, with none of those rounded corners seen on the SGS III. Could this really be the upcoming Galaxy Note II?

Before posting I have seen yours.....Thought to post it there but This is different pic,different source,different design........and Mostly trust able source..This pic comes from a samsung factories..but design might change if they made 4-5 designs like they did with S3..and I was sure someone will say it

Official [TEASER]: GALAXY Note II coming on August 29th

No more guessing, Samsung confirms Samsung GALAXY Note 2 to be introduced August 29th.

A new video produced by Samsung as a teaser for the upcoming Samsung Unpacked event to be held on August 29th, shows a brief glimpse of what probably is the Samsung GALAXY Note II. The sequel to the 5.3 inch phablet is expected to be introduced at the event. The original model did surprisingly well, ringing up more than 10 million units in sales. At 5.5 inches, the sequel is rumored to have a slightly larger screen than the original model, a faster processor and a better camera.

The Samsung Unpacked event for August 29th will come just prior to the IFA 2012 show to be held in Berlin. The video teaser for the event shows what appears to be the S-Pen sliding out of its slot on the device as it is used to draw or scribble on the screen of a tablet which is more than likely the Samsung GALAXY Note II. No, it is not the smoking gun image of the unit that we have been hoping for, but at least we know that the tablet in the video did come from Samsung.

While just a few nanoseconds of what is arguably the Samsung GALAXY Note II on a video won't quench your desire to see more of the device, the 29th is rapidly approaching and if nothing leaks out before then at least the event itself should provide us with some great pictures of the son of phablet.
