Last week reports emerged about Samsung working on a new smartphone series called Galaxy C. Details about the first two smartphones under the Galaxy C series have already started to pour in. According to leaks, the Galaxy C series will come with metallic body, and will have better design and metal integration than the Galaxy A series.
According to a listing on Geekbench benchmark website , the Galaxy C5 (SM-C5000) will come with 4GB of RAM and a Snapdragon 617 octa-core processor. Other expected features of the smartphone include 16-megapixel rear camera and 8-megapixel front facing camera. The smartphone is rumored to come with 5.5-inch or 5.2-inch full HD display.
The smartphone is likely to come with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box. Though there’s no official confirmation about the same, we can speculate the smartphone to be upgradable to Android N, which will be released later this year. Right now there’s not a lot of information available about the other Galaxy C smartphone, called the Galaxy C7.

It is being speculated that the Galaxy C series will be placed between the mid-range Galaxy A series and the Galaxy J series aimed at the budget segment. Considering it has metal body, Samsung is likely to extensively focus on the design part while pitting against the rest in the crowded Android segment.
Looking at the leaked specifications, the Samsung Galaxy C5 will not only be a design-focused smartphone but also a powerhouse. It will join a small list of smartphones with 4GB of RAM in the sub-Rs 25,000 price category. Popular smartphones for this segment are the
Asus Zenfone 2 and OnePlus 2 .
