Samsung expected to soon launch Iron Man editions of the Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 Edge

Leveraging the astounding popularity Marvel's superhero Iron Man enjoys; Samsung is reportedly set to roll out a special Iron Man-themed edition of its latest Galaxy S6 Edge smartphone.

The company had earlier posted a picture of a through its Twitter account, which depicted what looked like a special edition box for the sci-fi-themed smartphones. The post that mentioned a limited availability of the device, however, has now been taken down for unknown reasons.

The Korea Times had reported last month that Samsung indeed planned to release a new set of Iron Man-themed Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge smartphones which will take on the design aspects of the American superhero's red and gold metallic armoured suit.

If the special themed smartphones do hit the shelves, they would blend well with Samsung's Galaxy S6 Edge lineup as the company is using a new metallic undercoating for the coloured front and back portions of its device that gives a unique metal sheen. The Iron Man red would indeed look marvelous with the sheen, while the metal edges in gold would fit in just right, TechCrunch notes.
