Sachithra Senanayake allowed to resume bowling in domestic cricket

Colombo: Sachithra Senanayake, who is currently banned from bowling in International Cricket, after his action was deemed to be illegal by the International Cricket Council (ICC), has been given the green signal by Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) to resume bowling in domestic cricket, Senanayake is set to feature during next month's Mercantile Cricket tournament.

As Per the decision taken by SLC, Sachithra will be permitted to play in the forthcoming mercantile cricket tournament," a SLC Statement said.

After being banned for illegal action, the off-spinner went through a rigorous remedial procedure which included Several rounds of bio-mechanical testing at the University of Western Australia in Perth.
