He felt was not contributing enough to the team.
I dont know why the same feeling is not comes to Our great sachin.

If he didn't announce retirement ,he would have been sacked before 3rd test as the selectors sacked him in ODI.
So he retired.
But tendulkar will continue to play as i believe.

He had no choice. He was pushed to a corner and was forced to quit. Difficult to fill his shoes.

I am a great fan of his pulls and drives. I still freshly remember the innings vs India in 2003 WC final which stopped India from lifting the world cup then
