Ravindra Jadeja, the Gujarat Lions all-
rounder, was reprimanded by the
match referee for showing dissent at
the umpire's decision. The Lions were
defeated by Kings XI Punjab on Sunday
(May 1) in their group encounter in the
Indian Premier League (IPL). Jadeja
was visibly unhappy when he was
given out off the bowling of Axar Patel
in the 11th over of the chase.
"Mr. Jadeja admitted to the level 1
offence (Article 2.1.5 of the IPL Code of
Conduct for Players and Team
Officials) and accepted the
sanction.For Level 1 breaches of the
IPL Code of Conduct, the Match
Referees decision is final and binding,"
said an official statement.
Gujarat Lions eventually fell short of
the target by 23 runs with Jadeja being
a victim of Patel's hat-trick as well --
