Madhukar Baburao Rahane was arrested after his car hit a woman, who succumbed to her injuries in one of the local hospitals. The victim is identified as Ashatai Kamble, who was 67-years-old woman. The incident took place at the national highway near Kagal bus station. However, it is still unclear as to who was in the driving seat.
So far, the information is that Rahane’s father was travelling with the family in a Hyundai i20 when the accident took place. Following the accident, people immediately assembled at the site. The woman was taken to a nearby government hospital but sadly the 67-year-old succumbed to her injuries and died at the hospital.
The case has been registered with by the Kohlapur Police under the IPC Act 304A, 337, 338, 279 and 184.
