The rise of quick commerce has caused a significant decline in the sale of food, beverages and confectionery in urban centers, as 52 per cent of physical store retailers reported experiencing the drop, according to a report by global consulting firm PwC.

Yes, this is true. We have dairy next door. Not even a minute away. Yet, I see our neighbours ordering milk from Instamart. Meanwhile quick commerce has it's own benefits. Our washing machine had broken down. So I ran out of clean underwear. They delivered a new pair of Jockey's underwear in less than 6 minutes within even ₹100 discount coupon. Not even ₹1 discount was offered even by Amazon. It costed me ₹322. As a working individual it's convinent for me to order off quick commerce. If we order anything off Amazon or Flipkart. We can't select the timeframe. Sometimes agents even refuse to deliver 100 metres away from the delivery address even on COD. On top of that they are charging COD and cancellation charges. No point of ordering off sites that kaoing so much bao (thinking too much of themselves). Customer service of BlinkIt is good. Same isn't the case with Instamart and their discount vouchers which you have to remind ten times to get credited incase of refunds. If these quick commerce sites starts offering medicines. It will be a game changer. People will pay even if they price is premium. Jio can make a comeback in online pharmacy with Netmeds. If they start doing quick commerce.

Apollo Pharmacy is expanding in that area. They have already covered most cities with 4 hours delivery and now providing 30 minutes delivery in metro cities.
