Hi everyone,

I'm considering getting Airtel AirFiber as a secondary (backup) internet connection since I primarily work from home and need a reliable connection. My current setup is a fiber broadband plan with 200 Mbps, which works well, but I want to ensure I have redundancy.

I have a few questions about Airtel AirFiber:

1. Does the service deliver the promised speeds consistently?

2. Is the plan prepaid or postpaid?

3. How user-friendly is the router's UI for accessing and modifying settings?

4. Does weather impact the connection speeds significantly?

I’d appreciate insights or experiences from anyone using this service. Thanks in advance!

1) Yes in my case (100mbps plan, getting 120mbps up/down consistently, even in extreme rain) although YMMV as tower is hardly 100 mts away from my home

2) Postpaid

3) It's fairly configurable but some settings and even basic ones (Wifi channel selector) is locked down. You can turn off wifi (both 2.4/5ghz bands) and also use diff ssids for both of them and also multiple ssids are supported

4) I believe it won't or will be negligible. Can't say for sure as in my case, tower is 100 mts hardly far away and in extreme rain also I got consistent speeds (well above 100 mbps)
