Fifty years ago, the Punjabis earned the right to have a state of their own based on their linguistic and cultural identity. And on Tuesday morning, the holy city of Amritsar will become witness to the celebrations of the glorious formation of Punjabi Suba. To commemorate the history and struggle of Punjab and its heroes as well as to celebrate the modern-day Punjab and its prominent achievers, the grand celebrations will be held inside the specially created set inside the walled city.
City set to host 50th anniversary of Punjabi Suba
On November 1, Haryana completes 50 years of existence and Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has planed a mega show with 'Bemisaal Haryana'.
'Bemisaal Haryana' will highlight the incidents of historical importance that made the state what it is today, besides showcasing the growth story and achievements of Haryana in the past of 50 years.
A year-long celebration will kick off to mark the golden jubilee from November 1, 2016 to October 31, 2017.
