Art filter app Prisma has introduced a new support for video with its latest update for the iOS app. Prisma is an app that lets you convert your images into works of art in the style of famous painters like Picasso, Van Gogh among others. The app does so by using its artificial intelligence and neural networks. There are reports that the app might be getting GIF support soon as well.

The Prisma app took the world by storm when it was first launched, and was quickly downloaded on million of devices worldwide. The ability to turn a regular selfie or any image for that matter into a piece of art using its deep learning algorithm was something that struck with the audience. With its latest update, users can now use the app to make 15 second snippets of videos – giving the same artistic layover to them as images. The deep learning algorithm of the app is then able to weave the video frame by frame – transforming them into a motion art.

A user can now record a video using the app or can select one from their device. The app however requires a user to have iOS 10 for this function to work. The speed at which the video is rendered depends on the network you are using and the download and upload speeds you get.

Prima updates in the past have added features like offline photo editing for iOS and Android devices. With the addition of the offline feature, the user experience of a slow and buggy app that came with over utilised servers was managed. It is still unclear as to when the new feature will end up coming for Android devices.
