Posters depicting Prime Minister Narendra Modi as Lord Rama with bow and arrows has surfaced in his parliamentary constituency Varanasi on Wednesday ahead of Vijayadashmi. The posters show PM Modi targeting Pakistan PM Nawaz Sharif who is featured as the 10-headed demon king Ravana.
The posters demanding another surgical strike by Indian Army on terror camps across the LoC were put up by the local unit of Shiv Sena. "We celebrate the killing of Ravana by Bhagwan Ram on Vijayadashmi after the Navratri festival. It symbolizes the victory of good over evil," said the divisional Shiv Sena unit chief Ajay Chaubey.
"One more surgical strike is needed," demand the posters which also feature Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal as Meghnad, the son of Ravana, and supporter of Pakistan. Chaubey said that besides pasting the posters in city localities, they were also put up on buses and auto rickshaws for public view.
"Pakistan, which sponsors terrorism from its soil, is a known enemy, but is unfortunate that some leaders of the country are questioning the armed forces and backing Pakistan," said Chaubey adding that such leaders are doing politics and questioning the integrity of Indian Army on the surgical strike.
